Installation (Glazing) and Examination

1. Check that the opening is plumb and square. Carefully inspect glass edges before installation. Superficial chips smaller than 5/32” (4 mm) are acceptable. Wider superficial chips or deep chips (with V profile) are not acceptable and should not be installed. Place setting blocks (3” min.) at sill located at approximately quarter points. Do not block the lite so as to restrict movement due to thermal expansion. Direct glass to perimeter frame contact should be strictly avoided. Check perimeter clearance and adjust setting blocks as needed.
2. Cut glazing tape to length and set against stops, flush with sight lines.
3. Install in vision panels in fire rated doors to requirements of NFPA 80.
4. Install so that appropriate (UL) (WHI) markings remain permanently visible.

Protection and Cleaning

1. Protect glass from contact with contaminating material such as paint or paint primer.
2. Wash glass with a mild solution of soap and water and dry with a soft cloth being careful not to damage the 3M^TM Scotchshield^TM Ultra film.
